Add a little bling

If you have a lot of Blu-Ray discs in your DVDpedia data base and would like them to really pop in Full Screen view and Coverflow, take a look at this interface addition created by one of our users. It’s a photoshop file that you just layer over your existing cover images and voilà, a beautiful Blu-Ray library appears!

There’s also an image file for a regular DVD cover overlay, sent in by another user, which is a nice addition to make your cover images all appear uniform.

After 5 years almost to the day, Bruji is finally expanding – meet Alex, our first addition to the Bruji team. Alex is a big fan of 3D animation and hapkido and used to have two crazy boxers, Pata and Baturay. He’ll be working mainly in the support area, answering emails and checking in on the Forum. But since he is also a PHP whiz, he’ll be working on setting up a knowledge base to expand our support page and complement the help files.

Bookpedia was reviewed in the February edition of French Mac magazine SVM Mac and received 4 1/2 mice out of 5. It was just a short review, touching on the most important features in Bookpedia and outlining the workflow, but it was a thrill to see one of our programs in good old-fashioned print. Merci SVM Mac!

Child’s Play is back

Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

childsplay.pngThe holiday season is standing on our doorstep, ringing the bell and stomping its feet against the cold. That means it’s also Child’s Play time! Penny Arcade is running their yearly charity drive to get games, toys, books and cash to children’s hospitals in the US and around the world (even a children’s cancer hospital in Egypt is part of the drive). Last year they managed to raise over a million dollars; I’m sure the gaming community won’t disappoint this year either. We’re proud to once again sponsor Child’s Play – join us and head on over to their site to buy some toys!
