Re: Indicator to show which fields are custom.

I thought they already are different: They are written in italic letters, the others in standard, but wait... seems to be some bug there: I just noticed that in my DVDpedia, every field is written in italic, while in my CDpedia, where I did not use any custom fields until now, the normal fields are ...

Re: Automatic Sync for CDpedia 2017

Sounds like what an iCloud-integration should do. Conor has said several times that there are heavy bugs in iCloud preventing using it so far... I'm interested, if something has happened on that front during the last months, since this would really be an interesting feature.

Re: Track Links to iTunes Incorrect - CDpedia 5.4.2

I once had problems with the track links, too ( this thread ). I remember that the connection between the track in CDpedia was a little different on each level (matching symbols and playing). I don't remember why CDpedia does not connect tracks in its database simply to a unique id of a track in iTu...

Re: No finds on Amazon.de

I really wish that Amazon would be negligible... it's just ridiculous how they waste your (Conor's) time needing to update the pedias to follow their changing-without-notice-arbitrary-guidelines and supporting users who don't know what to do. I'll probably run into the problem soon, too (I did not a...

Re: Current status of development?

I think the update cycle is quite nice. I don't need major updates every year, which often mainly means "get the actual OS or you don't get Bugfixes any longer". Until now, it seemed to me that the pedias mostly get really fast corrections as soon as a user posts them here and that's reall...

Re: Movie Collections (Boxes etc.)

Now I understand you much better. :) It thought you were only referring to the "format" field, but your request for more detailed disc handling is far more detailed now. I support this, the track handling in discs is not really great at the moment, although it works. I personally workaroun...

Re: Multiple Field Sorting

Hm, I understand your concept and it's not very much in the way; but how many levels do you sort? And how many different ways do you use that you cannot keep them in mind? Normally, I use two levels at maximum and these combinations are always the same ones. I might have to think 3 seconds about it ...

Re: Multiple Images

Here is a link to one of the post about displaying images from the links inline directly in the details template ........ OOP's Conor I think that is the wrong link: http://www.bruji.com/forum/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=3  Yep, +1 for getting the correct link (a quick forum search ...

Re: Multiple Images

I did not figure this out in detail, but if this is important to you and you are a little into HTML (and maybe Javascript), maybe you are able to write an info view template (or edit an existing) that even displays images linked to in the links section directly? Just an idea.

Re: Film suggestion (like itunes genius similar)

... @Waldbaer. Where is the information for who watched the movie? If it's in the comments of the last seen history, you can create smart collections based on that info. With "Any last seen comment contains Person A". You can create a folder with these predefined smart collections. "...

Re: Film suggestion (like itunes genius similar)

Hm, for us, the problem that occurs the most is that we have Persons a, b and d (no, c is somewhere else today) and a and d want to watch something they did not watch e.g. the last month and d wants to watch something that he/she has never seen before. We already note these things in the watched lis...

Re: Movie Collections (Boxes etc.)

... It would still be nice to see a box set feature plus another on my wish list is multi-disc support for both DVDpedia and CDpedia. Yes I know that you can split tracks to another disc in CDpedia but that's about it. Today, movies and music not only have multiple discs but they also come in multi...

Re: DVDpedia 4.6.8, El Capitan, and Spotlight

Thanks for clarifying your point. ...upgrade? Because I assume it's a 1-way street... Why should it be a 1-way street? Save a copy of your database folder (since it is important to you, I assume you'll have a current backup anyways) and DVDpedia 4.6.8 (if you want to be waterproof, maybe you backup ...

Re: DVDpedia 4.6.8, El Capitan, and Spotlight

I'm sorry if I did not understand your problem correctly, but I read your post again very thoroughly and get to the same understanding and solution: Your problem seems to be that an old version does not work as it should and your motivation not to update to the current version is not justified (anym...
