Bookpedia Requets: Reading Status

It would be wonderful to have the possibility of adding to the books on the collection a status feauture. A sort of: Unread / To Read / Reading / Looking forward to read soon / Stand by / Unfinished ...

A kind of what book hunter has :)

It would improve Bookpedia a lot... it's very useful to have such a possibility.

Thanks for the suggestion, we'll keep it in mind for the future. For now you could use one or more of the custom fields (there are two checkboxes too) to keep track of that info. You could then build smart collections based on this information to keep all the relevant entries together.

Thanks for answering :) , that's what I use now, personlized text fields.

+1 for this idea. I normally have several books of different genres on the go at the same time.

This same principle or similar could be used with DVDpedia for series. At the moment I am using the Custom Text field to inform me which Series Disk and what episode on that disk I am upto.

If a series listing like below could be included that would be great.

Disk One
Season One
Episode One - Episode name - [tick box]

I know this brings up the dreaded "Boxed set" topic again but I have several boxed set series on the go at once.

Cheers

I use, at the moment, a field to describe this Status, ..but it would be fantastic to see it on the Bookpedia.

+3. Great idea. It would be awesome to use this function. :D

Edit : For now I use Page Mark. Was it created for that purpose or something else ?

Page mark is ideal, it's not as obvious as a check box, but can convey the same information. Blank is unread, a number means being read and at what page and a check mark or "finished" marks a book as done. There is a lot of flexibility built into the programs, but I can see the use of an explicit status field.

Yes you are right. It's less visual than a check box but it's clear. I'll wait... :D

Thank you.
