The file must begin with "@book{" to be recognized as BibTeX. To import drag the file over the Bookpedia dock icon or use the "Import" command under the file menu in Bookpedia. Another option is to transform the file into a tab delimited format that Bookpedia can also import. If you have a BibTeX software it most likely has the ability for tab delimited exports. Once the file is imported, it creates an excluded collection so that you can preview the results before adding them to your library via the "Include Collection in Library" command under the file menu. Use the gear button in the lower right area of the edit panel for each book to download more information for a book, including the cover.
