The most important thing you can do is label your comic properly so that Doghouse recognizes it as a comic. It\u2019s actually quite simple, all you need to do is set the Format<\/b> to Comic<\/code> or Graphic Novel<\/code> in Bookpedia before submitting it to the Doghouse.<\/h2>\n

You can also use Genre if you don’t want to set Format to Graphic Novel.<\/p>\n

Use the comics field and Doghouse will recognize it as a comic. For example, if you fill out any of these: inker<\/code>, penciller<\/code>, letterer<\/code>, Doghouse will label the entry as a comic because only comics will have these fields.<\/p>\n

In Bookpedia create a Smart Collection to quickly locate your comics.<\/h2>\n

I have a Smart Collection that looks for any of these cases:<\/p>\n

Format<\/b> or Genre<\/b> contain Comic<\/code><\/p>\n

Format<\/b> or Genre<\/b> contain Graphic Novel<\/code><\/p>\n

This way I don\u2019t have to worry about anything, just set the Format<\/b> or Genre<\/b> and I have all my comics in one place for quick access.<\/p>\n

What if I already submitted my comics without these settings?<\/h2>\n

No problem, we got you covered, simply go into Doghouse and edit them there. In the Doghouse we have 2 buttons for your convenience, the first one is the Comic<\/code> button, just click to set it to On<\/code> and voila, your entry is now a comic!<\/p>\n

While you\u2019re there, you can also change the Genre<\/b> or Format<\/b> to Comic<\/code> of Graphic Novel<\/code>, whichever you prefer.<\/p>\n
