Re: IMDB plugin doesn't return userratings
I tried that latest beta searching for "Gran Torino" by typing "Torino". When "IMDb" is the only activated search site, I get the usual information except the producers. When I activate "complete actors" in the "IMDb options..." then I get the comple...

Re: Make-your-own-pedia
Since there wouldn't be online databases involved, the point of such an "Anypedia" might be better input options for selected fields. I once tried to get the cast of a movie (which wasn't yet on IMDb) into DVDpedia. I was glad to get the list from the movie's website, I was glad I could ea...

Re: DVDPedia 4.5 ... question and a concern
(Poster seize in full screen mode is varying): This is a feature I was asking for. I have a lot of older movie posters with very different proportions. In full screen mode those posters were squeezed unproportionally to fit into the standard rectangle and thus looked miserable. Now it's much better,...

Re: cover photos
I haven't activated showing ASIN, whatever it is.
Since you activated showing IMDb, you should see "IMDb = 1029235". If not, something went wrong with storing that data.
If you see it, then the link should work too. Maybe a simple time-out issue. Try again.

Re: cover photos
I added Max Manus to my movies, and clicking the link showed the right page in MoviePosterDB.
My first thought was that the movie was missing in MoviePosterDB, in that case MoviePosterDB shows different results, often a movie you had selected before or the home page.

Re: cover photos
Now I know. Try to activate showing the IMDb number in the Info view field in the preferences. You should see something like "IMDb: 0012345". If I deactivate it, the link doesn't work any more.

Re: cover photos
The code in my template is exactly the one you posted ("The line now looks like this:..."). But if you want, I can send you my template. I suppose I can't do that with the forum mail function, you would have to send me your private mail. Are you sure your both DVDpedia apps are the same ve...

Re: cover photos
I suppose my problem had something to do with downloading the Beta and opening it from the desktop while the old DVDpedia was still in the apps folder. Because neither adding a movie worked nor the link from the new info template. And suddenly both worked (without deleting the old app). Maybe it has...

Re: cover photos
I tested it a bit more, and finding a poster and setting it as the cover picture is really fast now. Great. Btw, I noticed that for many movies the "primary poster" on MoviePosterDB is very unsatisfying. Take a look at these ones: http://www.movieposterdb.com/movie/0040919 http://www.movie...

Re: cover photos
I tried around with the code, then returned to the old one, and now it works. Strange. (I was wrong about [key:imdb] giving out more than the 7-digit number). If it doesn't work for you, try to copy the URL from the Info view link ("Movie Poster") with right-click and paste it into Safari ...

Re: cover photos
Maybe you saved from BBEdit as a BBedit File? Try to save as "only text" (I don't have BBEdit, just guessing). I tried it myself, the link in the Info View field shows up as Conor describes, but: when I click on it, the MoviePosterDB Intro page comes up inside Info view with a message &quo...

Re: cover photos
So we have 3 proposals, let me see: 1. Two-Step solution: You compare it with adding the movie data from IMDb. The pop-out list shows a list of search results, title and year. But there's no search result list for the posters of a certain movie on movieposterdb.com. The posters are spread on differe...

Re: cover photos
I'm also using posters (from different sources) instead of DVD-Covers. Getting them into DVDpedia is most of the work. It takes much more time than adding all the other data. There are different sources for the posters, different qualities, different versions and different tastes. It takes time to d...

Re: DVDpedia: integrated file management
I agree with Alex and kbarnes that DVDpedia shouldn't refocus on playing just every movie file on a Computer. But I don't agree that DVDpedia should basically focus on cataloging physical DVDs/Blue Ray Discs. The core of DVDpedia is for me the data from IMDb/Amazon. Each movie that can be found on I...

Re: [IMPORTANT] I want to add film screenshots to film profile.
Madjack, I tried this with Version 4.4.2. and the Beta and it worked as Conor described it. I used your example URL. After pushing the Download button the link changed from "http://..." to "[Datafolder]/Downloads/...". No messages in the console log meanwhile. Which is good. Clos...
