Re: "Die Hard" sorts with the H's; any workaround?

Use the Sort Title field to sort it by - just add Die in the sort field. You will need to go into Prefs first then to Fields, then to Add Edit Panel and make sure that Sort Title is ticked. Then in the main edit window, make sure you are not hiding empty fields (bottom left corner of edit wondow) a...

Thanks for the suggestion, it worked like a charm….actually took about 15 minutes….i envisioned a nightmare, but you're exactly right. I really appreciated your more thorough explanation…and you're right, it was so easy!

Cheers!
Excellent! Glad to have helped.

Re: 10 star rating system

Use DVDpedia mac & iphone everyday, and would sure love to have more options to rate movies. The idea kbarnes70 offered is an option, but with 2800+ movies I really don't want to go through my collection twice. Fair point. But you could semi-automate it. If you assign rankings now to your movie...

Re: New synch problem Pocketpedia 2 and ipad

I can only think of restarting both your iPad and your Mac. There should be no reason for the sync to have worked and stopped working due to reseting the iPad. I did reboot both devices but it made no difference. However, and this is weird, I have just tried to synch again and now *both* the iPad a...

Re: New synch problem Pocketpedia 2 and ipad

Definitely a network problem. This message comes up when Pocketpedia can see the Bonjour service but can't get a reply from DVDpedia when initiating the sync. Try disabling Bluetooth on your iPad. This was an issue with iOS 4.0 that was resolved in the latest update, but since the iPad still uses 3...

New synch problem Pocketpedia 2 and ipad

Hi Guys, I'm stuck. Yesterday I had to reset my iPad back to factory settings to clear out all manner of junk. Today I synched it to my Mac and then went to Pocketpedia 2 to suynch the data but all I get is "Pedia not found - please launch or restart the Pedia program on your Mac". Of cour...

Re: iPad version!!

Having bought an iphone just as pocketpedia was removed, I'm very frustrated I do no have a portable pedia solution (the Evernote workaround just isn't practical with large collections). I would like an Ipad, but I'll not buy one until there is a pedia for it. I use the pedias everyday, especially ...

Re: IMDB from another country?

Yes, it would be nice, but in UK or US it's all English instead of Brazil. People don't know the name of the movie in english. It would be nice, though hard. Let's see if Conor can answer us. Cya. Oh for sure - it is much more essential for you than it is for me, I can see that. For me it's just a ...

I don't know if it's easy or not, woudln't it just change the .com from imdb.com to .pt or .uk? Cheers I don't think it's as easy as we might think it is. Ilve asked for this before and can't recall the reply now, but I know that Bruji are very responsive to customer requests, so if they haven't gi...

Re: iPad version!!

The Amazon issue is with their API that covers all 6 official country stores (although Germany, France and Japan have only recently added the mobile clause). You know Conor, at first I agreed with the conclusion that Pedias without Amazon would be critically compromised (i.e. be bad for Bruji busin...

Re: iPad version!!

Conor, That is a very impressive response, thank you. I will send you my contact details privately and am very interested to pursue this. It may take a while to get an application completed (from my experience months rather than weeks). I would of course welcome you testing the application and even...

Re: iPad version!!

Hi Ken, All your assumptions are correct. We are all about open access, specifically so data can be used anywhere, anytime. You could certainly develop an iPad app for personal use. We would appreciate it if you did not sync Amazon data (especially the Amazon URL) as it carries our developer token ...

Re: OT: BBCode disabled?

Anyone know why BBCode is disabled for topics under the General > News (http://www.bruji.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=2) subforum? It's making quoted text ugly (e.g. in recent replies here). Ah - that's what it is. I thought I was doing something wrong but couldn't figure out what it was. Kind Regards...

Re: Pocketpedia2

Keith, I didn't even think about the other pedias (as I don't use them), but that's a really good point. I can see how that might be an obstacle. It sucks that large corporations aren't in it for the people :\ Too true. Amazon are making no sense at all in their position on this. You can run DVDped...
