Decided to submit a complaint on the non-follow up of my question (as was promised by Amazon) On 18/07/2009 I submitted a question regarding the removal of PocketPedia from the iTunes APP Store on demand of Amazon. After 10 days(!), I received a response, telling me that I would be contacted on 31 j...

Nope, haven't heard anything since. Will wait one more day, then file another complaint on this. Or, at least, try to. I hate it to be unable to actually 'get in touch' with companies..

Re: Amazon Killing Mobile Apps That Use Its Data

Just discovered something: 'Twibbons'. You can add a Twibbon to your Twitter avatar to express things like what political party you support, or campaing for something:
http://twibbon.com/

Might be just the right thing for this. Will need to find out (and make time) how to make one :)

Alternatively, you could use the 'Migration Assistant' to transfer -all- your settings -and- applications from the old to the new machine :)

If they don't want people using their data, then why do they provide an api to retrieve it?

I'd be happy to pay a small fee for using their services if that's what they're after.

Re: New DVDpedia export template

@Schaefner
Brilliant work!

one remark: the footer is not 'locked' to the bottom of the page. Would be nice if the header and footer would be fixed to the bottom/top and the content scolled inside that.

Re: Amazon Killing Mobile Apps That Use Its Data

I mentioned this in an earlier post, but the only reason Amazon is legally capable of blocking PocketPedia (apart from the search function inside PocketPedia) is because it's syncing Amazon data from the desktop version. I read in another post that you store the original Amazon link in the database ...

Re: Thoughts on Statistics page

Well, there are alternatives, for example, use 'SVG' or 'Canvas' (both supported by Safari/Webkit without plugins), having the advantage of being vector-based, thus resolution-independent. Some libraries for this exist, although most use javascript or some extensive XSLT stuff. I did a quick google ...

Re: Thoughts on Statistics page

Ah, thank you again for the quick response. I will have a look at the technical side of the Statistics page :) Regarding the pie charts: I can think of two solutions to add those; - Google charts (although I think those require a developers-key, which may not be possible with standalone software?)
