Articles not ignored in Sort Title

Post by jenv »

Bookpedia sorts Sort Titles of the form "The BlahBlah" under 'T' rather than 'B'. Shouldn't Sort Title work just like Title where leading articles are concerned?

Re: Articles not ignored in Sort Title

Update: I meant to say that this is the correct behavior. It allows those that don't want to ignore articles to do so. By entering "The Abyss", they can sort those movies under T. Sort title is exactly what you want to sort and doesn't even need to be the title of the movie. For example 2001 might be "Two" and "Dr. No" would be "Bond 1" and "From Russia With Love" would have "Bond 2".A user might want them all grouped under Bond and in the order of release (they could sub-sort by theatrical date and only use Bond, but we all do things slightly different). Sort title is a field that is meant to be used in the background and not seen.
