I didn't know about it either. Looks good - but what's the big difference to dvdpalace.de? It seems that both give out pretty much the same data. (And I know that the dvdpalace.de plug-in isn't working correctly at the moment. They changed their web page recently. But I'm fixing that right now.) Is there special info you get from ofdb (without being registered) that dvdpalace doesn't have?

While we're talking about German databases: How about http://www.filmevona-z.de ? This is the best German movie database I know. It's based on the "Lexikon des internationalen Films" which is the biggest German movie encyclopaedia.

You don't mind that they don't provide a cover image for the movie?

not quite the same, cause this is a "Movie" data base not only DVDs, it's the german version of the imdb.com and you can find movies that are not release as a DVD yet. and for my wishlist this is important ;-)

Pleeeeeease!

No, not at all. I'm using DVDpedia as my database for film studies, therefore I'm looking for a way to get the most complete data, especially for stuff like original title and german title. The cover is of absolutely no importance to me.

My Favorit German Page is http://www.filmdienst.de, but is only for Subscriptions from the Paper-Version, but a Plugin was nice...

A new Site startet at the Berlinale 2005 is http://www.filmportal.de.

For credits and German DVD releases, http://www.dvd-datenbank.net/ is much more complete.

German DVD databases

Post by Nora »
