Add support for Greek books

Postby thkoutsaft » Sun Jul 17, 2011 5:40 pm

Hello,
I'm a big fan of your software and I have been using Bookpedia for now two years, mainly for all my French and English book collections. The thing is half of my library is in Greek and I'm sure you could reach a lot more users by adding support for Greek books. Here is the website of the Greek National Book Center, called BiblioNet : http://www.biblionet.gr/
It would be great to see this website being added to the list of search sites for the bar codes.
Thank you very much in advance
Greetings from Greece

Thanks for your feedback. At this point we are only adding new search sites that provide an API for developers since that makes for a better user experience and maintenance. As far as I can tell, that's not the case with BiblioNet.
Bookpedia can connect to Greek universities and national libraries via the z39.50 protocol though. I can't tell which ones they are since the titles are all in Greek but give them a try :) http://irspy.indexdata.com/find.html?_c ... try=Greece

To add a z39.50 server, go into the Advanced menu > z39.50 Servers and enter the server, port and database # into the Server field.
