bookpedia best use of columns

Post by bkconnect »

What recommendations have you for organizing and listing tidbits of information about books? For example, I have a nearly complete Agatha Christie collection and use Genre as Mystery, and Series as "Hercule Poirot" or "Miss Marple" or "Short Stories", but I would like to add additional characters that occur and I am not sure which column makes sense.

A future version of Bookpedia will have a characters field (designed for supporting comics, but useful to books as well). In the meantime I would use one of the custom field and rename it characters or if adding many characters per book the tags field would be good solution. The advantage of the tag field is that it will help you enter the information by autofilling single characters instead of a group of characters as the custom field does.
