How to export files in other formats saving cover pics

Post by Lucami67 »

I would like to save my library into another format, but I would like to keep all the information I included and, most of all, all the covers.

How can I do that?

Which other databases could I use with the new exported file?

Hi Luca,

You can export in a number of formats. The simplest is the .npedia format (the first option under the File -> Export). It's a package folder with an XML file with all the text data and all covers included. Obviously the HTML also includes the covers. For more control the default text formats don't include the cover but you can build your own text template that does using the [key:uid] link to the cover images. The actual SQL database is even more technical but also includes all the information.

Any import should let you handle the tab and CSV exports as those are the most common, but any decent import should handle the XML.
