Searching my collection

It would be helpful if I could limit a search to the Location field.

Thank you for the feedback. Been trying to figure out a way to make the scope (under the magnifying glass) customizable. But I haven't come up with any acceptable UI. For the meantime do use "Column Shown" as it will minimize the matches.

maybe one indirect (yet still effective) way you could accomplish this is using a smart collection, in which you can specifically search the location field and the location field only

Thank you Ninji, for adding info about smart collections. Smart collections are very useful for this, specially if it's a common search.

For less common searches, users overlook the sorting ability to also group items. Sort by location and then type the first, or few, letters of the location you are looking for. After a pause, the program will jump to that section and all the items in that location will be grouped together.
