i have a large folder on a large network drive containing over 100 movies, is there any way to automatically import the whole folder using the file names of each movie as the search term, instead of what i am doing which is searching for each title one by one to add it, and then linking the corresponding movie?

There is no drag and drop way. If you can create a list of the paths and file names (essentially a tab delimited text file) you would be ale to import that and run a get more info on all the movies imported to look up the extra information. Normally you would only need a list of the movie titles but since you would like to create the link as well you are going to need both "Lethal Weapon" and the "file:///..../Lethal Weapon.mov" path as part of the import file.
