Bookpedia 5.1.0 iSight problem

Bookpedia 5.1.0 iSight problem

I have an iMac (late 2011). The iSight scanning function works fine in DVDpedia and CDpedia, but does not scan barcodes on Bookpedia ver. 5.1.0. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Are your Pedias all at the same version number? The camera window appears as it should when you press the iSight button in Bookpedia, correct? Does the image not focus then when you hold up a barcode to it? Try scanning the image at the very top of the window where the focus is slight sharper than in the middle where the red square is. Does that make a difference?

Or is it the actual search that's not working, i.e. the program isn't finding any matches to your scanned barcodes? In that case, what search site you do have selected in the search window? And if it's set to 'All', what are the first couple of sites you have selected in the Preferences/Sites?
