Please would you consider adding a new type of Smart Collection:

Let's say I have a field called Format, which includes values such as Hardcover, Softcover, Manuscript, etc. After selecting the Format field, I'd like to - in one step - create a folder in the left pane which automatically includes a Smart Collection for each Format value (Hardcover, Softcover, Manuscript, etc). I'd like this list of Smart Collections to update automatically if I remove or add new values to the Format field.

I'd like this to work with any field. Another example: Using this functionality with the Author field would produce a folder that contains a Smart Collection for each Author name.

Thank you for the feedback. We have considered a browser style listing (iTunes, View, Column Browser) but technical we have never gotten around to adding all the necessary backend to support that. We had never heard of a permanent collection based on this fields, thank you for the suggestion.
