This may have started with Yosemite, but is consistent in El Capitan. When I try to capture the barcode of a DVD, DVDpedia crashes every time. It works fine if I input the code manually. Early 2011 17" MBPro.

I just noticed the exact issue this morning on my Early 2013 17" MacBook Pro. Hopefully it'll be an easy fix...

Please try the beta version, made a few changes. Do please email me the crash log if still happening.

Here is the beta version, but Apple has approved the update, so working on that and the official release should be out in about an hour.

The most recent update, v5.4.1, appears to have fixed the problem for me. Nice work!

CDpedia 5.4.1 crashes often when using iSight in El Capitan.

Thank you for the bug report, do send us a crash report or two via email if you get the chance.

I've been seeing this for a while. It doesn't crash every time, just maybe 3 or 4 out of 5 times. If I keep trying, I can get through. Often, it seems to crash just when it's recognized the code - right when there would be a beep. I send the crash reports via the OS reporter, if that helps.
